It could work, but it depends on why your score is what it is. Is it 637 w/ almost no history or 637 with a lot of history? Is your revolving high or low (revolving meaning, of all the money you could borrow...have you reached your limit or do you have plenty of limit left?)

Its not hard though to get a card w/ a $500 limit. Use that, and build your credit from there.
