Bankruptcy stays on yur credit report and will adversely effect your credit scores for the next 10 years. The sooner you start trying to re-establish credit after your bankruptcy is discharged then the sooner your scores will go back up. But it will take quite a while to do this

You must be feeling relieved now not to have creditors calling, fear of garnishments, etc. Surely you don%26#039;t want to have to go through that again. The reality is that while a bankruptcy stays on your record for 10 years, it actually follows you for life with some applications asking, %26quot;have you EVER filed bankruptcy?%26quot; ... Hmmm, that%26#039;s a lifetime of not being trusted. My suggestion is to let your credit score increase on it%26#039;s own now that you have zero debt. Open a savings account and keep at it. It makes much more sense to earn interest than to pay it. What on earth do you want credit for that you obviously cannot afford to repay??? There is no formula on rebuilding a credit score after bankruptcy. Your reputation is already soiled and that can affect employment, housing and insurance for the rest of your life. Please don%26#039;t consider credit as an answer to your prayers... it wasn%26#039;t the first time around.

i am curious as to the fact you just filed bankruptcy and you have a credit score of 575, i have not filed bankruptcy and my credit score is under 500
