frst is you already have bad credit try to pay off your debts if not possible try to get more credit(like buying a car, small finance companies)do not, i repeat do not mess it up again, keep up with the pymts every month and take it from there, i had real bad credit cause of a divorce and it took me years to reestablish my credit, it works, try it a lot of companies are willig to give you a chance. good luck

The first thing you can do is have a free credit report run. You can contact Expierien or Trans Union. Sometimes you can ask for a tri merge report. This will show you if there are multiple listings for one creditor. You will need to write letters to the people you had the debt with. Ask them to drop multiple listings. This can take 90 days, keep hounding them with letters until listings are dropped. Fire your collection agents in writing. Attempt to settle any debts with the original companies.
