The more important thing is what is that makes up your score?

Credit scores are made up of the following;

1. Payment history 35%

2. Time in bureau 15%

3. New credit 10%

4. Type of credit used 10%

5. Debt to income ratio 30%

As you can see 1,2%26amp;5 are the most important as far as score goes. But score is not everything, I look at credit every day and see people every week with score 700+ that can not get approved for a car loan because their score is made up of nothing except 1 credit card with a $500.00 limit paid 15-times and a couple of student loans.

Credit score is over rated. What you need is a good mix of revolveing accounts (credit cards) and installment loans (autos, boats, homes and personal loans) all paid as agreed to get not only a good credit score and profile.

The average range is from 620-680. Anything in there is neither good nor bad, simply average. But there is room for improvement because you will not get the best rates normally until you are at least over 700...

dont listen to the person that said pay everything off n quickly. u get credit by paying on time monthly until there is nothing to pay. never pay something off early. u will pay less money but u wont get the credit for paying it of early.
