Bad credit how to get your credit score up after 7 years?

Get one or two credit cards to help establish your credit. Make a few minor purchases and pay your bill each month before the due date but don%26#039;t max the card out. Something like 30% of your credit limit should be suffice.Try and pay off the cards in about 6 months to a year. Make sure you get a print out from one or two of the credit bureaus to see exactly where you stand. Anything outstanding dispute it in writing and that allots them 30 days to respond and if they don%26#039;t then they have to drop the outstanding balance. This is just for starters because I don%26#039;t know how bad your credit is.

The best thing to do is to pay ALL of your bills on time each and every month. You might also try to apply for one (1) credit card. If you are accepted, you%26#039;ll have a higher interest rate, but as long as you pay a little more than the minimum each and every month, your credit score will slowly but surely rise.

Bad credit how to get your credit score up after 7 years?

Hi there!

There閳ユ獨 no quick fix for repairing your credit and improving your score. The only way to strengthen your credit is to begin managing your credit responsibly over time: Make timely payments on your credit accounts and outstanding debts to establish a positive new track record with handling credit. Pay all bills on time; get current on any payments you may have missed; keep balances low on credit cards. Like losing weight, strengthening your credit can only happen with time and effort.

For helpful information on credit, you might want to check out this website: http://learn.equifax.com/. It閳ユ獨 provided by Equifax. It閳ユ獨 created for the general public and it閳ユ獨 pretty easy to read. I would definitely recommend it.

All the best to you!

Bad credit how to get your credit score up after 7 years?

technically those accounts should fall off...that%26#039;s only 7 years from the last date of activity...go get a secured credit card to gelp start establish credit and don%26#039;t make anymore late payments

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

in experian is 594 and equifax is 660

what does it mean?

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

There are 3 major credit beaureau%26#039;s that credit cards work with; Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Some credit cards report only to one, some report only to the other and very few report to all three. Its kind of like having 3 different stores and they dont all have the same distributors. more than likely some of your debt is located on another report and your info is separated between them. YOu coudl have a high credit score with a credit card who reports to one, but the one you have a bad history with reports to another one. here%26#039;s my suggestion:

Under the terms of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act of 2003, the three nationwide Credit Reporting Agencies must establish a centralized source for consumers to request and obtain a free copy of their credit report once every 12 months, beginning December 1, 2004, and to be completed by September 1, 2005

you can go to www.annualcreditreport.com or call: 1-877-322-8228

this will be a combined credit report from all 3 companies. YOu shoudl check your credit report once every year. This is due to the lack of communication between all 3 of them. FACT: 70% of all credit Reports have errors. I hope this helped.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

they may have differing amounts of information. i think different credit agencies use different scoring systems, too.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

maybe they dont have all the factors to account for the other points or they us another algorithem. you are talking 10 percent so my guess would be they dont have the same data.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

The credit agencies use different scoring methods. Also what shows up on one credit report my not necessarily show up on another. You will always show different scores from the various agencies. Pull your credit report to see why experian is so low.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

Because not all companies report to all three bureaus.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

They probably haven%26#039;t found out something yet, that the others have.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

All the above listed answers are correct, but also, not all companies, such as mortgage, credit card, etc report to all credit bureaus. So some might have more information on you than others.

My credit score is higher in equifax Why?

You need to pull all three scores and reports and compare to see what information one has that the other doesn%26#039;t. if your lowest score is missing a good thing, write to that credit bureau.

Major stuff like home loans look at all 3 scores and go by the middle one--- so if 660 is your middle score, thats fairly good!

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Try the capital one or orchard bank credit cards. They offer credit to help you rebuild your credit. Just remember to pay your bill on time and if you can also try and pay more than the minimum card payment.

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Everything and anything! When you first apply they look up your credit info and give you the %26quot;yay%26quot; or %26quot;nay%26quot;. Just walk in and ask. Happy hunting!

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Not very many, you should try calling a credit union to see if they have a program to help increase your credit score

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Don%26#039;t apply for a dept store credit card. It will only bring your credit down. You need to apply for a major credit card with Visa or Mastercard. Dept store credit cards aren%26#039;t as highly regarded and they tend to have lower limits. Lower limits can quickly lead to maxed out credit cards which leads to lower credit scores.

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Go to this site and based on your score it will give you a list of cards you can get. www.financeglobe.com

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

Your credit score is kinda low. You must still be trying to establish credit. Why don%26#039;t you try applying for a Macy%26#039;s card? do it online. Or try out for a Visa card? do it online.

My credit score is 563, what type of dept store cards can I apply for?

I recommend the Orchard bank card over dept store cards. It reports to credit bureaus to help improve your credit score.

What does your credit score have to be at in order to qualify for a car lease? What numerical number

Its for a BMW 3 series?

What does your credit score have to be at in order to qualify for a car lease? What numerical number?

Unless your credit score says you%26#039;re a horribly untrustworthy person, you%26#039;ll always %26quot;qualify%26quot; the question is how much are they going to screw you on interest based on your credit rating.

The formula that generates your score is a trade secret, and the criteria that lenders have to grant and term your loan is secret as well, so you can%26#039;t really know the factors it takes for any one company to grant/deny you a loan and the terms. They figure their numbers out, and you need to make an informed decision on whether you can afford it, and by shopping around.

What does your credit score have to be at in order to qualify for a car lease? What numerical number?

Based on the excerpt that I found for you below, I%26#039;d imagine for a BMW lease you%26#039;d have to have exceptional credit, and if the dealer does not require this then you may find that the lease payment will be very high.

I will attach a link where I found this information and other great information about leasing!

Good luck!

Your Credit Score Makes a Big Difference

When you lease or buy a car, the dealer and his finance company check your FICO credit score from one or more of the three national credit reporting companies 閳?Equifax , Experian, and TransUnion. Your score determines what interest rate (lease money factor) you%26#039;ll pay, or if you%26#039;ll be approved at all. Each reporting company can have a different score for you 閳?you need to know them all. Scores above 700 get you the best rates. Below about 640, you%26#039;re in trouble.Your score also affects your car insurance rates, your ability to get a mortgage, or even your ability to get a job. Credit history reports are now free to most consumers in the U.S., but credit scores are not.

I checked my credit score and it's below 600, what are some ways to build my back up?

When I was in high school, a teacher gave one of her classes that I was in some very valuable advice about building up your credit when you don%26#039;t have any credit history. It should help you, too, as long as you only have bad credit from the PAST and nothing current actively hurting you.

Get one of those crappy little department store cards, like a JC Penny%26#039;s or Sears card. Buy something every month, and immediately pay the full balance. As long as you%26#039;ve eliminated all your past debts, this should help you build your poor credit back up.

I checked my credit score and it%26#039;s below 600, what are some ways to build my back up?

Pay all your bills on time and do not use more than 50% of the credit limit. That should help increase your score.

I checked my credit score and it%26#039;s below 600, what are some ways to build my back up?

I think I would first take a close look at what is causing the score to be so low

do you have unpaid debts

are there errors on your report

Do you have alot of late payments

The way to raise it will be to first identify if the information is correct, if so

figure out the nature of the negatives

if they are late pays

pay on time

if they are collections, pay them off and/or negotiate settlements.

Doing the above CONSISTENTLY will definitely raise your score

I checked my credit score and it%26#039;s below 600, what are some ways to build my back up?

Keep your balances 70% away from your limits. This counts for 30% of your score. Derogatory items 35%. Inquiries 10% . Credit mix 15%. Credit history 10%.

I checked my credit score and it%26#039;s below 600, what are some ways to build my back up?

Open a secured credit card account. They are backed with your own money, such that if you default, they%26#039;re covered. This then gives them a far lower risk, and therefore they are able to extend credit to subprime customers. The huge positive about these cards is that they report in the same way that a regular credit card does. Also, keep your balances at no more than 30% of their limits.

Check out the Orchard Bank card. After your credit goes up a little, you can apply for a %26quot;bad-credit%26quot; credit card, such as a First Premier credit card.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

IT wont lower your score unless you start letting her pay your bills. If you take over paying her bills with in Six months her score will get alot better.

Best of luck in your new Marriage!

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

No, unless your partner is refinancing their debt and adding you as a cosigner. If you aren%26#039;t cosigning anything then you%26#039;re not combining credit histories even if you decided to have a joint bank account because its, well, not a type of credit.

Of course once you decided to buy a house and cosign together they will combine for the life of the loan. They%26#039;ll also combine if you open a joint credit card or take out any other kinds of loans.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

IT DOES NOT MKE DIFFERENCE.IT DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL.SHE WILL COME UP AFTER TRAINING.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

No, it will not. Your credit is your credit, married or not. If you open joint accounts the payment history will be reported on both of your credit profiles as joint, but short of any joint accounts your credit histories will never merge.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

No it will not. You will both still have your own credit. I just had to call a financial advisor and the loan officer at my credit union to make sure. I%26#039;m in the same position. My credit is good, but my fiance has some work to do on his. The only time the person with bad debt will effect you is if you have say a joint bank account and they have some past due items. Those companies can take $ out of the joint account, simply because it has his/her name on it. Also.. if you apply for a joint account such as a mortgage, car loan, etc.. then they will look at both credit reports. But overall, just because you marry someone doesn%26#039;t mean your two credit scores join.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

No..but if you apply for something jointly (house, car, home equity loan), both spouses score are taken into consideration.

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

Not directly. My credit sucked because of my ex husband. My new husband has almost perfect credit. So to get mine better, we put everything we possibly could in my name alone. Our house, we had to use just his name, because it gave us a better interest rate on the loan. Over the years, my credit has really come up a lot. Nothing like having a good man by your side ;)

Marry someone with a lower credit score than yours, does it effect your score?

Marrying them no. But do not comingle money in any way. By opening any joint accounts or loans your credit scores will comingle as well. This would help her score but also hurt yours.

What Should Your Credit Score Be In Order to Be Considered For Home Loan?

I%26#039;m talking something with a decent interest rate, none of the adjustable rate stuff either.

What Should Your Credit Score Be In Order to Be Considered For Home Loan?

Obviously the higher the number the better, but the big companies are asking for the minimum criteria of:

- 720 credit score

- 5% percent down payment

- Payment to be no more than 25% of your take home pay

Good luck.

What Should Your Credit Score Be In Order to Be Considered For Home Loan?

To get the best rate with a small down payment your score should be around 700 or higher. The market%26#039;s been hit hard so even people with average credit in the mid to high 600%26#039;s have higher rates now and harder times finding loans if they don%26#039;t want to pay a down payment.

What Should Your Credit Score Be In Order to Be Considered For Home Loan?

680 middle score and higher. A 680 beacon is considered to be a %26quot;conforming%26quot; credit score. Mortgage inquiries are usually a pull of three bureaus, equifax, experian, and transunion. You could get a mortgage with a 575 middle score now, however, the rate would be higher than a 5% on a 30yr fixed. If you need any help with rates and how they work, feel free to contact me at 561-305-8188.

What Should Your Credit Score Be In Order to Be Considered For Home Loan?

You can get one with a score in the high 500%26#039;s. You dont have to have perfect credit. What state are you in b/c I know of an excellent loan officer in Indianapolis who can work with you to get you in a home.

your credit score tells the lender how much of a risk you are, it doesn%26#039;t automatically calculate a score for you. It depends on the lender, but with a 702, you won%26#039;t get the best possible score.

excellent

yes, that%26#039;s good - good job

What does a credit score between 695-745 mean?

a very good one, an ideal one would be 750 but those are still very good

What does a credit score between 695-745 mean?

That is good.....

What does a credit score between 695-745 mean?

695 is good and 745 is close to excellant.

What does a credit score between 695-745 mean?

To really understand the credit scoring system and how healthy your own score is, it is actually important to know some other information as well:

1. A FICO score can range from 300 to 850.

2. The national AVERAGE FICO is 678.

3. The MEDIAN American FICO score, however, is higher at 723.

Even middle school math made my eyes glaze over, so if you are anything like me it may help to have a refresher on the difference between %26quot;median%26quot; and %26quot;average%26quot; at this point.

%26quot;Median%26quot; means that half of all credit scores fall below 723 and half of all credit scores fall above 723.

However the %26quot;average%26quot; score is what you get if you add together every credit score in America, and then divide that total by the number of scores that were added.

Why is the median score of 723 higher than the average score of 678? The reason is because there are more really low scores between 300 and 723, than there are really high scores between 723 and 850. In fact, 60% of scores are between 650 and 799. Of the remaining 40% of scores, more are below 650 than are above 799.

4. Anything below 620 - 650 is considered a poor score. And remember - the lower you score, the higher the interest you are charged, assuming you can get credit in the first place.

5. There is nothing wrong with having a median score of 723. This is a good credit score and lenders will perceive you as unlikely to default and offer you a competitve interest rate.

6. A score of 770 and up is considered excellent and people with these scores get the very best deals. However, the advantage between having a score of 800 versus 700 is minor compared to the difference between having a score of 700 versus 600.

7. At below 550 you would be considered to have damaged credit and be in need of credit repair.

In short, aim to get above the median of 723 instead of the national FICO score average of 678, but don%26#039;t sweat it. The average FICO score is still definitely good credit and enough for you to qualify for standard rates.

You are above average and around or maybe even already above the median, so yes, that is very good indeed. Congratulations on the hard work and responsible character this represents.

How can I raise my credit score by 50 points in the least amount of time?

I%26#039;m in the precess of buying a co-op and one of my three scores is 50 point lower than the other due to an item which should have been removed and this particular company will not remove it.

How can I raise my credit score by 50 points in the least amount of time?

First of all, you need to dispute this item with the credit bureau and the company that placed it there. Then to raise your score, keep making your payments and if you have a credit card without a balance lying around, you can make a charge and pay it in full every month. That is one of the biggest things you can do to improve your score. The first thing you can do is be a homeowner and pay your home loan on time every month.

Don%26#039;t open a credit card just to charge and pay it off, because your score will be lowered by the credit check.

Whatever happens, go ahead and dispute the incorrect information. If they will not remove it, you can have a remark put on your credit report. See the credit bureau for more info.

Good Luck!

How can I raise my credit score by 50 points in the least amount of time?

Go online and disput this account for a different reason than before (if recently disputed) if not, DISPUT DISPUTE and DISPUTE some more. They will get sick of it. Also, when an item is in dispute it will not show up to creditors.

How long it takes to have a credit score? (I opened my first credit card 4 months ago and my credit

Are you completely positive that your credit score is zero? I have never heard of that before.

Well....after about 6 months of consistently paying off this credit card..your score should increase. The only question here is if your credit company reports your payments and credit used on a regular basis. If they don%26#039;t...this card is doing you no good.

Have a card that periodically increases your credit limit and get another card...like clothing (Victoria Secrets, Express, Macy%26#039;s) or something similar so that you can increase the amount of credit you have. Just try not to increase your debt along with it.

And please for the love of everything good....look at your credit report. This can be a guide and a wake up call. It was for me.

How long it takes to have a credit score? (I opened my first credit card 4 months ago and my credit score is 0

I work for a financial institution and help people build up their credit scores to obtain better financing options.

1. There is only one reason your credit score will show as 0 with any of the 3 credit bureaus (Equifax, Trans Union and Experian).

--The agency does not have any financial information regarding how you pay your bills.--

2. You need to charge on your credit card, make monthly payments and carry a small balance and your score will soar.

3. Many companies do not report to all 3 credit bureaus. Please check your credit reports from all 3 credit bureaus. You can pay for a copy from the bureaus%26#039; sites or you can obtain a free copy of your report from each of the agencies by going to the federal trade commission%26#039;s site at www.ftc.gov (Note the free reports do not include a score.)

4. There are 5 parts that make up your credit score

- Your Payment History about 35%

- How Much you Owe about 30%

- Length of Credit History about 15%

- New Credit about 10%

- Other Factors about 10%

For more detail on these factors visit www.myFICO.com this site is hosted by The Fair Isaac Corporation, the company that develops the credit score models for the credit bureaus.

5. You can also establish credit and build a score without credit cards. This can be done by having non-traditional forms of credit reported to the bureau. (Please note not all of the non-traditional examples are always willing to report to the credit bureaus)

- Rent/Housing payments are the best form of non-traditional credit to have reported. It is easiest to get property management companies to report. If you are renting from John Smith it may not be easy to get them to report.

- Utility payments (i.e. water, gas, electric)

- Monthly Insurance Payments

- Monthly Cell Phone Bills

- Monthly Club Memberships

The items above are just a partial list. Any debt that is paid on a monthly basis can be used to establish credit worthiness.

Is 551 a bad credit score and how do you up the score?

Credit scores range from 350 to 850. 551 will not prohibit you from buying a house, but your options may be limited. You%26#039;ll need a larger down payment ,for instance, and your interest rate may be higher. You can increase your credit score by: 1. paying your bills on time. 2. making sure that you are not maxed out on your credit cards. Try not to use more than 35% of your available credit. 3. Making sure that the information on your credit report is accurate. 4. Not opening any new credit lines.

You can obtain a free credit report from: www.annualcreditreprot.com

Is 551 a bad credit score and how do you up the score?

anyhting under 650 is considered poor credit

That is poor. Try paying off past debts and maintaining solid payment history with current creditors.

Is 551 a bad credit score and how do you up the score?

I just got a loan from a credit union and the told me that my credit rating was 700 with 800 being the best so I think that 551 isn%26#039;t to bad of a credit score.

Almost perfect.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

Numberwise thats an excellent credit score. But credit counts on how old is your credit history too.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

Considering that 850 is the highest you could have, yes it%26#039;s excellent.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

hmmmm. I thought that 800 was the highest.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

Yes, it is a very good score. Businesses, in general, will accept an application with a score of 650 or better. 650 would be considered acceptable and average, but, not high enough to qualify and individual for the best interest rate or not high enough to be considered A+ credit. There are several factors involved in analyzing your credit report, however. The length of time accounts have been open, the balance owed on accounts and the debt ratio between the payments you are obligated to monthly vs your monthly income.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

It%26#039;s unlikely that 836 for someone that young is an actual FICO credit score.

One of the heavier factors in a Fair Isaac score is age of accounts. At 23 your oldest account might be 5 years old (older if you were an authorized user).

If you didn%26#039;t check at myfico.com, it%26#039;s likely that what you saw is what%26#039;s typically referred to as a %26quot;FAKO%26quot; score, meaning a credit score generated by anyone other than Fair Isaac.

And if it *is* really above 800 due to being an authorized user on another card, it%26#039;s worth noting that those factors will no longer count starting next year.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

That%26#039;s an excellent score if it%26#039;s a FICO. Average FICO score is 725.

Equifax uses FICO but the other two use their own scoring system which goes up to 950 (I think). Creditors use FICO.

I just checked my credit score i am 23 years old and its 836 is that a good score?

There are several different scoring systems being used. With just about every one an 836 would be considered good. But how good depends on exactly which system was used.

For example the FICO score is the most popular and range from 350-850, but probably less than 5% of the population has a score that high. One factor is length credit history, since you are 23 the longest history you can legally have is 5 years. It takes sometimes a decade or two of credit history to be able to get to this level. So it is unlikey that you got a FICO score.

One of the other competing scoring systems is called VANTAGE. This system ranges from 501-990. For this an 836 is still good, but probably closer to average/sightly above average.

What is categorization of credit score? which score is good which one is fair and which one is excel

A credit score above 650 will qualify you for standard interest rates and a score over 750 will help you get the best rates available.

What is categorization of credit score? which score is good which one is fair and which one is excellent?

FICO score

above 800 is excellent

Is 610 a decent credit score and how easy would it be to raise the score?

It%26#039;s not the average (675), but at least it%26#039;s not horrible.

Here%26#039;s how your score is broken down

35%- payment history

30%- how much debt you have

15%- length of time

10%- types of credit

10%- inquiries and new accounts

to boost your score, I would go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and get all 3 of reports if you haven%26#039;t gotten them already and check to see if you have any accounts in collections. If so, depending on how old the accounts are. If it%26#039;s closer to 7 years, you may or may not want to play the %26quot;waiting game%26quot; for the statue of limitations for reporting expires. If they%26#039;re more recent, I would suggest contacting the creditors to negotiate a %26quot;payment for deletion%26quot;. If you%26#039;re able to, before you send them a dime, have them send you something in writng on something with their company letterhead agreeing to the terms.

Another thing is not to apply for too much credit. If you apply directly, anywhere from 2-5 points are deducted from your score. Also it gives the appearance to creditors that you%26#039;re desperate.

If know know a close friend or family member that has excellent credit, see if they could add you to their credit cards as an authorized user. You won%26#039;t need a card becuase it would be for reporting purposes only. If you%26#039;re able to do that, their payment history would reflect on your report, boosting your score.

If you%26#039;re paying monthly bills on time like rent, cable utlities that don%26#039;t show on a credit report check these guys out. http://prbc.com/default.php?

You can have your monthly payments verified and reported in a scored report that can be used with your other credit reports.

Hopefully this infomation will help out

Good Luck!

Is 610 a decent credit score and how easy would it be to raise the score?

620 and up it pretty good and to raise it, just keep paying your bills on time.. It takes for your score to go up..

Is 610 a decent credit score and how easy would it be to raise the score?

For getting any kind of loan Credit History is much more important than credit score. Often, the lack of credit history is equated with bad credit. You should be aware that lenders will go through your credit report once you apply for loan for buying a house. Therefore you should polish your credit report. Anyway, in order to establish a good credit history and at the same time risen your credit score in a short time do following things:

1) Close all of your credit cards but one. It reflects in your credit report and it is a very good sign. For instance say that you have 5 credit cards with $1000 credit limit for each. Therefore you are responsible for $5000 of possible debt. But when you close 4 of them, now you are only responsible for $1000 of debt which lowers the level of risk of lending money to you.

2) If you have any loan, like car loan or any balance on your credit cards, try to pay more than your monthly payment for 6 months or something. I mean say your monthly due on your car loan is $150, try to pay $250 each month. Lenders can see these trends in your credit report and they see that you閳ユ獧e a responsible borrower.

If you don閳ユ獩 have such loans, I suggest getting a $3000-$4000 loan and paying it off in full in 5-6 months. You might pay $200-$300 of interest but you will save thousands of dollars in your home mortgage and interest rates.

What is considered a good credit score?

i see all the ranges on the internet, but what is considered bad and good scores.

What is considered a good credit score?

Usually the line dividing good and bad is a score of 620. Typically financial institutions won%26#039;t lend to people with a credit score under 620 - if they do, they get a much higher rate.

Here%26#039;s how scores are viewed by most lenders:

720-850 Excellent

700-719 Good

675-699 Fair

620-674 Questionable

560-619 Caution

500-559 High risk

What is considered a good credit score?

The Average as we know is 678, so lower isn%26#039;t really good, i%26#039;d say 800 to 850 is good.

Good Luck getting there.

What is considered a good credit score?

700 or higher is good

What is considered a good credit score?

hello... i am building up my credit, and i heard a good credit score can range from the 600%26#039;s on up. anything that is in collection you have to pay off before you can get a good rate on anything!

What is considered a good credit score?

In auto finance, 700 or better is considered good.

What is considered a good credit score?

Its all based on how much you have borrowed in the past and how you are paying or have payed it off.

The funny thing is if you have%26#039;nt borrowed or had any credit you actually have bad or no credit score and if you have credit cards and loans and regularly pay them off you get a good or high credit score!

What is considered a good credit score?

Credit Score may vary based on various parameters. These parameters have weightages which can be changed. Therefore

a.what a good score is for you may not be the same for another due to the parameters

b.The good score may not be the same tomorrow as they would change.

What is considered a good credit score?

Depending on the reporting bureau the Good ratings generally start arond 650 but other factors such as collection accounts have a much higher importance then just the score to your lenders as well as your history and number of inquiries at the time.Every bureau and lender has their own model for rating your credit worthtiness.Best to belong to a credit monitoring service and check your report regularly. These are called soft inquiries and do not hurt your score. Most services like the one that I belong to also include up to 50,000 dolars in identity theft insurance with your membership.

What is considered a good credit score?

I own my own mortgage company so i know this answer. Anything 680 and above is considered conforming. That means top credit grade.

It won%26#039;t go up right away. These reports only change once a month. It takes time to have it hit your records. I also assume you meant to type the word %26quot;now%26quot; and not the word %26quot;not%26quot;?

It%26#039;s not The amount of outstanding debt is what they look , it%26#039;s the percentage of what is of your available debt. Keep the card and account open for awhile.

I have a 645 credit score and just paid off a card. will my score go up not that it%26#039;s paid in full?

Depends on how much you owed. If its small amounts its better to pay payments to earn credit , In high amount its good to pay them off and you score might change a few points. You can always get a free Credit repot.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

How does that work? Also- Is there ways to keep both credits active so that you can have both options?

Does getting married combine your credit score?

Nope. It will help it slightly as married people apparently are viewed as more stable and responsible.

What happens typically is married couples get joint credit for things like buying a house, furniture, etc. Especially they combine strong income/weak credit with strong credit/weak income. That is how many people get their credit entwined.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

No. If one has a lower credit score it actually tends to hurt the other if they buy things jointly.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

No. You can have seperate credit in each other names, or you can have a joint credit account.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

No it does not combine your credit scores. Each person has there own credit score.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

you still each have credit under your own name and social security, and getting married doesn%26#039;t affect that. you might go to UseCreditWisely.com for more credit information. you don%26#039;t have to get things jointly, though in some cases if one partner has bad credit, the other can cosign for them, and if the payments are made on time, it will raise the poor credit score...but if payments are not made on time, then both partner%26#039;s credit scores will suffer

Does getting married combine your credit score?

No. Each person brings his/hers credit to the marriage. It is good for both to retain their scores individually. If they buy a house in both names the credit accures under both names. But if one runs up a hospital bill that affects the credit of the patient named. (Maybe it is different in community property states and non-community property states.) You might want to enquire from a local bank or mortgage company how it is in your state.

Does getting married combine your credit score?

No, it should have no effect on your credit score until you start getting joint debt.

How do I check my credit score without using a creditcard? I dont have good credit to usea credit card...?

You need to go to www.annualcreditreport.com. You are entitled to one free credit report from each of the three credit reporting agencies.

How do I check my credit score without using a creditcard? I dont have good credit to usea credit card...?

One fun and easy way is to go to a new car dealer and test drive a car, then say you are very interested in buying the car. The car dealers will be anxious to check your credit so they will know how to screw you with your interest rate, and will get your credit score in literally 5 minutes. You can then ask them what your score is, maybe haggle a little with the price, then walkout. But beware, they might call you at home, at which point I recommend telling them you have found a car that you like and are no longer interested.

Is 689 a good credit score for renting an apartment? And is that a good score?

This is a very good score, as good is considered to be above 650. Scores range from 350-850, scores below 620 are normally considered bad, while those above that and below 650 are considered to be average. To learn more about what your credit score represents and how it is derived you should read this article: http://credit.privacymatters.com/credit-...

Is 689 a good credit score for renting an apartment? And is that a good score?

That is above the USA average. Very good score.

Is 689 a good credit score for renting an apartment? And is that a good score?

689 is a good score. If you can get up and over 700, then the sky is the limit. When it comes to renting an apartment, it%26#039;s even more about income. In most complexes, you have to gross weekly what your rent is monthly.

Is 689 a good credit score for renting an apartment? And is that a good score?

yes, and make sure u have no evictions

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

This is so depressing.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Pay your damn bills on time!

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Your FICO score is your credit score. How can you get two different scores? Anyway just pay all your bills on time even if it%26#039;s the minimum, the key is paying on time and your score will improve dramatically in about six months. Good luck.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Know how you feel. Been there. First, don%26#039;t let it get you down. What is done is done. Second, if you are not doing it already, start paying your tithes at church. Third, contact a financial counselor.

Best of luck and stay positive. As long as you have good health, shelter and food, be happy!

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Those are the same thing, you just get slightly different scores from different bureaus.

OK, now here is what you do (I know this b/c I did it!):

Get a copy of the book %26quot;Total Money Makeover%26quot; by Dave Ramsey. It is a very practical, no bull crap plan for getting your financial act together. If you follow it, you will learn how to live on a budget, keep track of your money, pay off your debts %26amp; actually have money to buy things, rather than needing credit. It will even explain how to settle with creditors with which you are behind. If you follow it, your credit score WILL improve, then it will slowly go down again, but you will not give a damn. By the time you have NO credit score, you will have amassed a small fortune (compared to most people) %26amp; will have a paid for house %26amp; cars %26amp; money in the bank to replace every large item you own or weather any upsets (like a layoff). We have been following Dave%26#039;s plan for about 3 yrs. I look forward to paying off our house in a couple of years %26amp; (soon after reaching that goal) having NO credit score. I promise, it will NOT be depressing.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Pay it off! Get yourself new credit like the Imagine Master Card or Orchard card the limits or low 300-500 and rate high but you are not trying to shop you are trying to build credit. You charge a little and pay fast within 3 mos you will have better scores. The first thing I did was disputed the hell out of everything and 27 days later I disputed it again. Next or during the same time call all the companys listed on the report that you owe that may be charged off or wrote off and ask them to make a one time payment deal. Expample if you owe 800.00 on a bill see if they will take 400.00 to pay off get it in writting keep all the receipts showing paid. Next you can get these secured credit cards with this product called %26quot;credit builder%26quot; on it that reports to the agencies. You pay yourself back the money on the visa secured card but they will report it to the agency. The more you show you can pay off with 3 creditors the more you will build new credit, that is the only way to fix bad credit, pay old ones off fast as you can and get new ones and pay them off fast at the at the same time. Pay them in on time before the due date for 6mos and you will have helped this. With a 1 to 2 years you will have a great score and credit.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Don%26#039;t spend any more money that you do not have. And pay your bills on time, every time. For the next 7 years. Voila, you will have perfect credit.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

how old are you and what did you do (or didn%26#039;t do) to get such a low score? credit takes years to establish, it took me 13 years to get my fico score at 805. and i was never late on any payments nor did i ever have any judgements against me. you have to learn the tricks....... example:

1) pay everything ON TIME

2) keep your oldest credit cards OPEN, even if they don%26#039;t have a balance

3) don%26#039;t max-out your credit cards- high balances take points off your score

4) don%26#039;t apply for a lot of credit cards at once, too many inquiries on your credit can lower your score as well

5) pay more than the %26quot;minimum amount%26quot; due on your monthly payments if you can

6) never close an account with a balance on it, you might think closing accounts will help your score, but in turn it will hurt it-

7) there is NO SUCH THING as a QUICK CREDIT FIX! Stay away from companies that claim they can fix your credit overnight!

That%26#039;s all I got right now..... maybe some other posters can add to it....

goodluck!

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Wow...I didnt know that the scores could go that low.

I am guessing that your score of 492 is a FAKO score...they are almost always higher then your FICO and are about as useful as a jar of mustard. Throw that score out, your focus needs to be on the 425.

I cant imagine the shame you must be feeling, but it is always possible for people to turn their credit around. Read EVERYTHING that you can get your hands on about credit.

You can fix this, but be prepared for it to take years and years.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

Why is your score so low? It is probably at least 1 or more of the following cases.

1. Do you have any accounts in collections if so pay them off this is the single biggest killer of any credit score.

2. Do you have late payments. Just pay your bills on time every time.

3. Are you using more then 30% of your available credit. If so pay it down.

4. Are you applying for a lot of new credit. If so don%26#039;t do that anymore.

5. How much credit history do you have? Only time will improve this one.

In time if you take care of these things your score will rise. If you don%26#039;t you can pretty much guarantee you will be at this level for quite a while.

My FICO score is 425 and my credit score is 492. What the hell should I do?

%26quot;Buiilding credit can be done in many ways. If you are disappointed at your loan application being turned down, it is mainly because of absence of credit history. You should learn how to do build your credit.

Do not buy unnecessary items. If you are looking to build credit start spending properly.

If you see any errors in your bills or credit, reports, contact the concerned persons immediately.

If you have purchased an item using your your credit card that later turned out to be defective or gave poor service, then you need not pay the charges.But you have to dispute the charges with the parties that were responsible for the act. If they do not replace the item or compensate you for a service or product, you are justified in refusing the payment.%26quot;

I have a poor credit score and I want to know steps to improve my Score?

Bottom line PAY YOUR BILLS!!! Don%26#039;t charge your credit card any more. Don%26#039;t apply for any Credit Cards. Don%26#039;t max it out. If you can;t afford to pay cash don%26#039;t charge it. If you can%26#039;t afford the monthly payments don%26#039;t sign up for it. Basically pay your bills ontime.

I have a poor credit score and I want to know steps to improve my Score?

work hard.

How do you check credit score? Does checking it lower score? Does it cost?

The three major credit-reporting agencies -- Equifax, Experian and TransUnion -- use software developed by Fair Isaac Corp. to rate your risk for assuming debt based on your credit history. The result is commonly known as a FICO score.

The score is based on five factors, including payment history, the amounts you owe and the types of credit you%26#039;ve obtained. Personal information like income, occupation, age and marital status are not considered.

The FICO score can range from 300 to 850, although very few reach that pinnacle. Each credit bureau may assign you a different score, based on the information it receives from creditors.

You generally have to pay to get your credit score. You are legally entitled to one free credit report each year from each of the three credit reporting agencies. (See %26quot;How to get a free credit report.%26quot;)

To watch for errors and identity theft, stagger your requests and get a report from a different bureau every four months.

Go to AnnualCreditreport.com to order a free report. Make sure you access the right Web site. Impostor Web sites abound.

Want to improve your score and keep it high? Think of credit as a privilege to be used sparingly.

Don%26#039;t apply for lots of credit cards. A credit inquiry can deduct five points from your credit score. However, multiple checks made when you%26#039;re shopping for a mortgage will count as only one.

Asking for your personal report won%26#039;t hurt your score. Neither will requests made by credit card companies that offer preapproved cards, or requests by prospective employers.

Avoid applying for credit cards from companies that don%26#039;t set a spending limit or won%26#039;t report your limit to the credit bureaus. (See %26quot;Weird stuff that hurts your credit.%26quot;)

Don%26#039;t cancel multiple credit cards. That can suddenly lower your available credit and can hurt your credit score. Keep old accounts open to ensure a long credit history.

Limit the percentage of available credit you use to no more than 30%, even if you pay off your balance each month. Your credit report will show the amount you owed, even if you subsequently paid in full, and excessive spending will ding your score.

If you don%26#039;t have a credit history, start one by obtaining a secured credit card and managing it responsibly.

How do you check credit score? Does checking it lower score? Does it cost?

You can check it for free once annually by visiting the websites of the three major credit bureaus:

www.experian.com

www.transunion.com

www.equifax.com

...Or, you can use a credit monitoring service like www.freecreditreport.com to look at your credit score. These services cost money, but usually offer a free 30 month trial to try their services. They also can notify you by e-mail anytime things in your credit report change such as an inquiry or an account being marked delinquent.

Also, %26quot;soft%26quot; inquiries (where you look at your credit score yourself) do not show up on your credit report, and thus don%26#039;t adversely effect your credit score.

How do you check credit score? Does checking it lower score? Does it cost?

get all three mailed to u and or u check it on line at freecreditreport.com and checking it yourself does not hurt u..

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has ba

Thank you!

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

I agree with those that say it will help the persons scores who has the bad credit. I also agree that applying as a co-signer should be done with caution.

I would never recommend anyone, even married people, apply for joint credit cards.

The best route to go is authorized user.

If the person needs help raising their scores so that they can qualify for credit on their own, add them as an authorized user to one, or more, of your cards. Make sure the card(s) you add them to have no late payments, low utilization and a long history.

After the cards start reporting, they should try to get a card on their own.

After they gain some history on their own card(s), over time start slowly removing them from your cards.

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

yeah

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

Yes and it will help build the other persons bad credit back up. But be careful, you will be responsible for that debt too and there is a reason they have bad credit!

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

I advise that you don%26#039;t do it. Get your own credit card from a credit union at work or build enough credit integrity with your bank and ask if they offer credit for you.

As soon as you get credit card happy, you%26#039;ll end up in a pile of debt. It is best to use cash or atm credit card instead. If you have to borrow money and end up paying a big bill in the future, you don%26#039;t need it.

And applying for a credit card with a person with bad credit is like signing a death warrent to your financial stability. Don%26#039;t do it.

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

yes,but becareful. If a person has bad cridit that can meen there not paying there bills. And if you dont pay the cridit card the person cosigning can be held reliable.

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

Yes im pretty sure you guys could. But just wondering why you would want to especially because its so easy to get one. Maybe get the card in your name %26amp; your partner a secondary card.

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

yes you can. BUT DO NOT DO IT. The person can apply for a secured credit card from Bank of America or Orchard Bank. This way they pay a depost that is equal to the line of credit issued. After about a year of on time payments and such . Then can apply for a regular unsecured credit card and get the deposit back. My favorite source for information like this www.bankrate.com. They have things like rebuilding credit after bankruptcy, investments, how to buy a house, using credit wisely. And best of all the information is free, accurate, complete and helpful.

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

It will affect you

Can someone with a good credit score (cosign) apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit?

yes a person can apply for a credit card with another person who has bad credit. But there is another way that person could help the person with bad credit by getting a secured credit card for them this way its just a small amount and that person could pay you back .if you let the person with Bad credit be on your card it could ruin your credit and relationship and you may have a bill that you can not pay

Does anyone know a credit card that i could get with a credit score of 815 out of 1000(UK)?

I am not sure if UK has different credit ratings but 815 is pretty good here

Does anyone know a credit card that i could get with a credit score of 815 out of 1000(UK)?

Credit Scoring in the UK

When you apply for any type of credit, most lenders use a credit scoring system to process your application. If you do not have a standard 8-digit bank account you are unlikely to be approved by any credit application.

However you will find store card issuers offer revolving credit accounts at quite hefty premiums, but you will be offered flexible payment terms, and their credit scoring system seems to be set at a low threshold.

I wanna check my credit score. Which website do you recommend to get scores from all 3 bureaus??

www.annualcreditreport.com

the upside - You get one FREE report per year from all three major credit bureaus all from this one site.

the downside - you do have to pay to get the FICO score.

But after you%26#039;ve viewed what%26#039;s on your credit, you should be able to get an approximate idea what your credit score would be and if its worth paying for.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

Well, the United States consumer average credit score is 678. However, in some states any credit score over 650 is good, but credit bureau reports would state that you have a fair credit score but it still would be difficult to get the best interest rates and the best credit card options.

There is good news though, if you are planning to buy a house you would be able to get one with little to no money down since you only need a credit score of 550 to qualify for those kind of loans. You would also be able to qualify for decent auto loans as well. You would be able to get credit cards with small credit lines but you wouldn%26#039;t have to pay a deposit on the card like you would if you had a poor credit score or no credit at all.

The credit score is ultimately used by creditors to decide if you are a high risk borrower/consumer before extending you any type of credit and it is used to determine what you will pay in interest (interest rates will be higher if your score is lower). Anything over 700 is a good score. Anything over 800 is excellent.

There are three credit bureaus and most likely you have three different credit scores. The equifax score is usually the lowest since alot of your credit information (100%) is being reported to them (even though it is also the most inaccurate as well). the other two bureaus which are Transunion and Experian may not have a full credit history and your score is based on what your creditors have reported to them.

I%26#039;m not exactly sure what you are trying to purchase but I hope this helps a little bit.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

618 is on the lower end. Every creditor looks at different things... when considering credit for an individual.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

618 not really.

You really want your score to be over 700. To boost your score pay off your debts quickly. And take out new loans and pay them off quickly.

There is no quick fix.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

iam also facing the same prob but i enjoy answering questions

i know its going to earn nothing

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

Yes, 618 is a %26quot;decent%26quot; score but may not give you access to some loan programs. Lending is a %26quot;risk based%26quot; business. The higher your score, the more you have access to. The good news is that your score will continue to climb every month as long as you make your payments in a timely manner and limit your new credit opportunities.

Many mortgage lending programs floor the access at 680.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

A credit score is a tool used in the lending market. You can do two things; improve your score thus improving your future options or mess up your credit score and lose opportunities.

First off, review your credit cards. You only need one Visa/Mastercard. Period. Your credit limit on each of your credit cards works against you as %26quot;potential debt%26quot;. So pay off, close, and get in writing, all closed account information. If you can%26#039;t close them all quickly, because they have outstanding balances, do one at a time. Most companies are going to need you to put your requests in writing, keep copies of everything, and don%26#039;t expect things to happen fast.

You do not control what bad things are listed on your credit report. But you can insure that the good financial things are on there - did you pay off a car? paying a student loan, all info correct?

It is your financial situtation, take control.

Is 618 a decent credit score? What can I do with the score?

618 is not good. You need to work on improving it. Get a copy of all three agency reports and dispute items that may be incorrect. Pay off your debts and use credit to your advantage by paying it on time every month. This will raise your score.

Does checking your own credit score reduce your score?

No it doe%26#039;s not.

When you check your own score is a soft pull and doe%26#039;s not count against you.

Only when you apply for credit through a lender and it%26#039;s a hard pull do you get dinged around 3-5 points.

The exception is when you looking for a auto or home loan then all pulls within a 14-day period only count as one. They all show on your bureau but you are only dinged for one.

Anyone who says different simply doe%26#039;s not know what they are talking about.

Does checking your own credit score reduce your score?

no ... it does not.... and neither does the inquiries that are on there from your creditors.

Does checking your own credit score reduce your score?

Yes it does, but it has to be excessive. I found this out with a Disney Card. I know, it%26#039;s an unlikely place. Disney Card checks your credit score every month to continually make sure that you still qualify for their card. If your credit score is checked too many times within a 6 month period, your score will drop. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how much.

Does checking your own credit score reduce your score?

YES... it can lower it by 10 points each time you check it because the only people who are constantly checking their credit score are low lifes who have rotten credit to begin with.

Does checking your own credit score reduce your score?

Hi,

It doesn%26#039;t. Check out http://financeguru.consumerspot.info for some useful info and tips. Good luck!

Can i get a credit card with a credit score of 422?

i know its bad but i am looking to improve so is there anyone with any ideas

Can i get a credit card with a credit score of 422?

Actually, my credit isn%26#039;t that great, but I got a credit card from First Premier Bank. It has a limit of $250, with the fees for the activation and everything, you only get $70 at first, and your payment is $25 a month. The more you pay, the more you have available. Your limit goes up every 6 months if you make your payments on time. Just be sure to always, always make your payments on time, because if you don%26#039;t, your credit will get WAY worse! Go to premierbankcard.com and apply on line. They might tell you that they can%26#039;t give you one, but I know 3 people who were told that and then received a letter with the card, in the mail in about 2 weeks. Good Luck!

Can i get a credit card with a credit score of 422?

Western Union has a prepaid credit card. That may help. You pay the money first, then you can charge. I%26#039;m not sure if it helps your credit score or not, though.

Can i get a credit card with a credit score of 422?

Perhaps a secured card.

Can i get a credit card with a credit score of 422?

Try a secured credit card ~ first premier bank ~ orchard bank ~ those are the top banks that accept very bad to bad credit ratings.

Also there is a prepaid visa card called AccountNow they are the only ones that I know of that report you to a credit bureau even though its not a credit card

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

Well the national average is 675-680 so you are below that but it%26#039;s not a bad score.

What is much more important is what makes up your score.

Credit scores are based on the following;

1. Payment history 35%

2. Time in bureau 15%

3. Types of credit 10%

4. New credit 10%

5. Debt to credit ratio 30%

I look at credit every day and see people with 700 Scores that can not buy a car because there score is made up of the following;

Profile 1.

1-credit card with a $500.00 limit paid 15-times and a couple of student loans.

While this produces a good score it doe%26#039;s not show tha ability of the willingness to actually pay anybody.

What you need is the following;

Profile 2.

3 credit cards with balances below 30% of your credit limit and 2 autos, homes, boats, furniture or personal loans all with good long payment history%26#039;s.

With this type of profile you can get any loan that you will need.

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

Average is 680, so it%26#039;s less then average, but you still can get the mortgage. Good Luck!

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

Depends on how old you are and what is reflected on your credit report. If you%26#039;re 20 years old and have just started building your credit, it%26#039;s really pretty good. If you%26#039;re 40 and it%26#039;s not really great, but not horrible either. Anything above a 700 is good, so you%26#039;re close. Anything below a 600 isn%26#039;t very good and you%26#039;ll probably need a co-signer or have to deal with fairly high interest rates.

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

FICO scores range between 300 and 850. Ratings are as follows:

~ Excellent: Over 750

~ Very Good: 720 or more

~ Acceptable: 660 to 720

~ Uncertain: 620 to 660

~ Risky: less than 620

If your FICO score is on the low side, you%26#039;ll pay a higher interest rate on loans and credit cards. To get the best interest rates, your score should be 720 or above.

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

Hi,

It%26#039;s not bad either. You are just on the margin and it can be repaired easily. Check out http://financeguru.consumerspot.info for some useful info and tips. Good luck!

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

well, that%26#039;s not so bad, but you can improve your credit score up to 850. detail is http://www.mommaknowscredit.com/?id=bent...

If your credit score is between 636-670, is that good?

acceptable - you are better off than most folks

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

I would like to elaborate in my question posted earlier. I currently have a mobile that I will be selling that should bring me $55K. With those process I%26#039;m hoping I can buy a 4 plex and bring myself out of the poverty ways. I plan in living in 1 of them and renting out 3 and ina a year or 2 exchanging for a bigger (more) units.. In my area Rialto, CA I%26#039;ve seen 4 units from hi 4s to 600k..

Appreciate all insights.

Thanks!

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

Again, you%26#039;ll need a large downpayment. $55,000 on a $400,000 property is only 13% down. You%26#039;ll need AT LEAST 20% down (most likely more) with that kind of credit score. Sorry, but you wouldn%26#039;t even be able to buy a single unit with that kind of credit without a larger down-payment...

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

Well I work for a mortgage company and I know that alot of lenders require you to have a 540 mid score to give you a loan!

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

There are mortgage lenders that will lend to someone with lower FICOs but you will need all three of your FICO scores. Lenders usually take the middle of the three scores and then base your rate from that.

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

This sounds like a good idea from the beginning, but you really should re-evaluate it.

What would happen if some of the tenants aren%26#039;t able to pay their rent on time.... do you have the funds to cover them for a month or two?

You might find someone to hold a mortgage for you, but the interest rate might be extremely high.

Concider adding a step in your plans by renting the mobile and using the rent to pay a mortgage on a small house first.... build some equity .... then step up.

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

A 4-unit building is not considered an investment property for FHA loans. Anything above 4 units is more difficult to purchase, requiring a larger down payment, but a 4-unit is a standard residential loan and you should be able to get a FHA loan that woudl only require 3-5% down.

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

The real question here is: why is your credit score so low? The answer is: because you have proven yourself to be unable to handle credit. If you can%26#039;t figure out how you got into this position and fix it, you are going to end up in the same hole again. However, you do have options- one is to rent for a couple of years and get your credit score up by paying your bills on time. Another is to find a fourplex that is %26#039;free and clear%26quot;, meaning that the owner has paid it off and has no mortgage, and to convince the owner to carry the loan back, meaning that the owner will act as the lender and accept payments from you instead of requiring a bank loan. This works because the seller gets a regular source of income from your payments, and you don%26#039;t have to qualify for a loan. Normally you would pay a higher rate of interest than the going rate, but with your credit score you%26#039;d be paying an inflated rate anyway, assuming you could get a loan at all. It will take a lot of effort on your part to find such a deal, but it is probably the only way for you to get into another property right away. And please, read as many books about real estate as you can. You need a quick education on the subject. Good luck- you are in hot pursiut of the American Dream!

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

In short, with a 480 score, the reputable lenders of the world won%26#039;t touch you with a 10 ft pole, and the ones that will, expect to put 40% down, and pay an interest rate about 10%.

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

You will not qualify for a 400-600K property with 55K down and a 480 score. You will need to improve your score which can be done quickly if you know what to do.

Here is some additional info. Hope this helps.

With a credit score of 480, can I buy income property?

Of course you can buy income property with your credit score. You can buy income property with no credit score. It is really up to you and how you set up the deal.

First of all, why is everyone assuming you need to get a traditional mortgage? What about seller financing? What about bringing the deal to someone with the means and splitting it with them? There are myriad possibilities if you open your mind.

Just do a search on %26#039;creative real estate financing%26#039; and you will get a bunch of solid hits. Pick a few sites that you like and pick up some bits and pieces from each. Not all the info is good or right, but at least you will have your eyes opened to what is possible.

I would try to buy without an agent if possible as well. Talk directly with the seller. If the seller won%26#039;t talk directly with you, then they are not that motivated to sell and you won%26#039;t be getting a great deal (which is what you need to pull yourself up from the poverty ranks).

My $.02.

How many points does credit score drop with each credit card application?

It can vary but usually between 0-12 points depending on what is in your credit files, how many recent inquiries and the type of inquiry.

There is no fixed number for each inquiry, it is all calculated by the FICO scoring model against what is in your credit files at that time.

Good Luck

How many points does credit score drop with each credit card application?

I%26#039;d guess around 15 points, but it depends on many other factors.

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

To actually answer your question.

Credit scores are made up based on the following factors;

1. Payment history 35%

2. Time in bureau 15%

3. Types of credit 10%

4. New credit 10%

5. Debt to credit ratio 30%

As you can see 1,2%26amp;5 are the most important as far as score goes, but there is a lot more to it then just having a good score which you do.

I look at credit every day and see people with scores like yours that can not buy a car because their score is made up of 1 credit card with a $500.00 limit paid 15-times and a couple of student loans.

While this type of profile generates a great score, it does not show the ability or the willingness to actually pay any one.

The profile you will need is 3 credit card accounts (revolving) with balances below 30% of your credit limit and 2 cars, boats, homes, furniture or personal loans (installment) all with good long pay history%26#039;s.

This will give you the score and profile to get the best rates on any loan you may need in the future.

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

Yeah... its not bad at all. Almost unbelievable, as your accounts were open for less then 2 years.

It shows you are really good at being slave to the lender.

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

Yep , it shows banks are willing to allow you more of a chance to drown in debt than the average 19 year old , you are well on your way to bankruptcy caused by the credit trap .. ( stats show that nearly 40% of bankruptcies are ages 18 - 25 ) You would come out better saving all you can , and pay cash ..it is much cheaper that way ...

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

yes, your credit score is good. Make sure you may all your debt on time, because if you don%26#039;t your credit score drops and all of your credit info stays with you. Keep up with a good credit score and you%26#039;ll have more opportunities for lower interest rates on buying a home , cars , etc.if your score goes down into the 600 or 500 your interest goes up and creditors make not take a chance at lending money to you in the future.

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

its good but who cares about credit scores?

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

fantastic keep it up

Is a credit score of 706 good for a 19 year old?

yeah its good, im 19 too and my score is 712 but have too many credit cards *_*

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

Yes - Thats about what mine was when I bought my house.

Look into first time homeowner or similar programs through your state, that will help you get a better interest rate with an average credit score.

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

its okay. not the best..but good.

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

The mortgage broker I spoke with needed at least a 500 before she could even do anything so I would have to say yes it is good enough

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

Depends on the lender%26#039;s requirements, but the lower your score, the more you generally pay in interest. It can get pretty steep.

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

Anything above 650 is pretty good I believe. My boyfriend and I just bought a house and our scores were in the mid 700%26#039;s. Your mortgage company should be able to tell you if 677 is good enough to go through them.

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

The credit score is in the good range, but credit score is not the only thing lenders will look at. They will look at your total debt versus your current income. They will look at your income to determine what type of loan you can qualify for. Normally, lenders will require at least 10% down on your home.

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

Yes especially for FHA and depending on the size of loan

Is 677 credit score is good enough to buy a house?

My score is 800. Your score is good but you might want to raise your score before buying because your interest rate falls the higher your score. That could save you thousands of dollars and lower your house payment each month.

What is the minmum credit score someone can have and qualify for 6000 limit with the medical care cr

You should be looking for a score of 650 and above to qualify for that kind of limit.

What is the minmum credit score someone can have and qualify for 6000 limit with the medical care credit card?

if you%26#039;re credit is good... you shouldn%26#039;t have a problem...

What is the minmum credit score someone can have and qualify for 6000 limit with the medical care credit card?

Mid 600s would be the appropriate range....

I have a 510 credit score can I get a loan or do I need to go to a credit repair company? Thanks, Ro

Ok lets be honest . First off 510 is a horrible score but it can be fixed. The law states that anything on your credit report can only remain on it for a max of 7 years. First what i would do is check your credit report and see if you have anything of 7 ears or longer on it. Then write a letter to each creditor demanding they take it off.

Second thing to do is sit down with a credit counselor or repair company your choice and start to get to work on these things. A counselor will mass all your debt together and force you to make payments. A repair company usually uses the loop holes in the credit laws to get thigns removed from yoru credit report and up your score.

A lot fo people dont know this but a CREDIT COmpany such as experian, equifax and transunion are not government companies. You yourself could start up your own credit reporting agency :) A lot of people dont know that.

I have a 510 credit score can I get a loan or do I need to go to a credit repair company? Thanks, Roger Maris?

Yes!! I can help you out send me an email - I just got a loan approved with a credit score of 500

I have a 510 credit score can I get a loan or do I need to go to a credit repair company? Thanks, Roger Maris?

That%26#039;s a low number, means a higher interest rate. National average is about 670..

I have a 510 credit score can I get a loan or do I need to go to a credit repair company? Thanks, Roger Maris?

ok yes you can get a loan but it will be difficult to find someone to give it to you and if they do it will be a pretty high interest rate. that dont mean you have to go to a credit repair company just get a copy of your credit report find the reports that are not paid or current start small call a couple of the companies and ask for a settlement price if you can pay it then pay it if you can not set up a payment plan but be careful if you do that do not give them a creditcard number or bank acount number becouse they will and can dip back into the acount for the full amount and sometimes more. whenever paying a colections company send a cashiers check or money order for YOUR protection

Hi.

This site is well recommended and will definately help you:

I have a 510 credit score can I get a loan or do I need to go to a credit repair company? Thanks, Roger Maris?

Credit repair first or you will pay an arm and a leg for your loan. Usually companies charge hundreds of dollars to simply pull your credit and send correctly worded dispute letters閳ユ敄his is the key閳?.people will tell you that you can do this yourself for free but the truth of the matter is that the credit bureaus will throw your letters away or simply reject them. There is an easy to use online kit that will deliver the results you want available for just $19.95 at the source website. A similar kit is being sold via infomercials and radio talk shows for seventy dollars more but they try to solicit you repeatedly for other services after the fact.
